#LetsConnect - Children's Mental Health Week 6-12 February

For 2023, the theme of Children’s Mental Health Week is #LetsConnect

Research by the Mental Health Foundation suggests that being connected with ourselves and others in healthy and meaningful ways can help us support our own mental health and wellbeing, and that of others.

A healthy relationship with ourselves or our peers can be built through kindness, care, trust, honesty and respect.

With this theme, we’d like to draw attention again to the group chat services offered by TheMix. Through this service, young people can access different online groups to talk for fun or for support. These include:

Young carer's chat: Chat online to other young carers and find support from an understanding community.

General chat: A light hearted online group whereby you can talk to others about anything - a great space for distraction and a chance to unwind.

Support chat: A space to give and get support online from other young people going through similar experiences.

Support circle: A small group chat for no more than 5 people where each take it in turn to get support about whatever is on your mind. Young people can also sign up as listeners if they enjoy helping others.

There are a lot of resources being pushed online this week. Please use the hashtag #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek if you’d like to see posts related to this theme (on Twitter, Instagram etc).
