From The Sprout, the new Power Up Project is looking for young people aged 10-25 to join an advisory group and shape the future of a new wellbeing project for youth in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The Project requires attendance at 6-10 meetings per year, where thoughts and ideas will be shared to develop the project.

In return, participants will gain the opportunity to make a difference, gain access to new skills and training, as well as routes to other paid work at Platfform.

Music opportunity: Are You Hard Cor?

Hard Cor (working title) is a young, modern vocal collective for anyone based in South Wales aged 16-25 living in the Cardiff area. Anyone can get involved if they love singing, performing, rapping, MCing or beatboxing.

The group will be influenced by a range of contemporary styles, including hip-hop, grime, rap and RnB, and will celebrate Wales’s increasingly innovative music scene. It’s an opportunity for young and talented Welsh music makers, enabling you to work with some of the country’s most impressive musical practitioners, and broadening opportunities for those who wish to sing and vocalise in non-traditional styles at the highest level.

There are 8 workshop sessions (2 taster sessions, 6 workshops) taking place at Wales Millennium Centre every Saturday for two and a half hours from 11.00am-1.30pm. To sign up, please complete the short sign-up form. There is a taster session this Saturday (24.09.22).

You will need to bring your own lunch. There will be additional drinks and snacks provided for participants during break times.
