Carnegie Centre YR11 and 12 leavers

Yesterday (Thursday 22nd June) we hosted a Leavers Ceremony for our YR11 and YR12 Carnegie learners who have completed their exams and will be moving on to new horizons.

We feel very privileged to have watched these young people develop themselves, whether that be for a single year, or two or three. We are proud of the perseverance and courage they have shown and their commitment to learning.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was welcoming our learners parents and carers into the centre. They clearly share our pride and admiration for all the young people that attend here.

The parents of one learner leaving us at the end of year 12 were kind enough to share a letter with us. This letter details some of their experience and how the Carnegie Centre was a far better fit for them than mainstream school. We'd like to reiterate our thanks to these parents for sharing this lovely message, and extend our gratitude to all parents and carers for supporting these learners through KS4 and YR12.
